BRC Social Housing has been preparing and responding to the imminent need for housing in Bristol for Ukrainian refugees.
There will be an extra workload for staff in the housing option departments of local authorities including Bristol, Cardiff, Devon and Cornwall.
BRC Social Housing has specialist social housing recruitment expertise in these areas.
It will be critical in the coming weeks and months to ensure that there are suitable hosts and accommodation available, and we will be assisting the relevant social housing bodies and supported housing organisations to place new staff.
Local authorities across the South West will be requiring our social housing and supported housing recruitment services, and we are ready to help.
The Homes for Ukraine scheme is already in place, and many hosts across the region are providing short-term assistance to refugees fleeing the war zone.
This is a new situation, but BRC Social Housing has candidates in place for potential placement, with a specific skillset emphasis on homelessness.
The team at BRC Social Housing are currently speaking to candidates with experience in Housing Option roles and will be ready to place them when local authorities make these vital roles available.
We are also speaking to Local Authorities across the South West, and many are currently liaising with private landlords to provide private housing.
We are talking to clients about the skillsets required in the Social and Supported Housing sector to assist Ukrainian refugees being housed.
The local government has a role to play in supporting arrivals from Ukraine, and BRC Social Housing is on hand to further provide candidates as needed by local authorities.
We are also keen to speak to anybody who wishes to work in the field of social housing in Bristol, Cardiff or across the wider South West.
Follow our simple candidate registration process online here and we will work with you.
