We wanted to offer some hints and tips on how to write the perfect CV for social housing jobs in Bristol.

BRC are recruitment specialists in this sector and have more than 20 years of dedicated experience providing candidates with the best social housing jobs.

The most important initial element for any candidate is a good CV.

When it comes to preparing a CV for social housing jobs, we recommend the following:

Write the CV in reverse chronological order with the most recent role first

Use sector-specific terms as long as they are universally-known

Be concise – list what you do, but just enough information to gain an interview

Include any sector-specific computer packages you have used. So, if you work in Housing Options and have used Jigsaw, include this information.

Have a template CV document which you can tailor to specific jobs using the Job Description listed for each vacancy. Review the details carefully.

If, for example, the role you are applying for includes attending Court to represent an organisation, mention where you have done this before on your CV. Be specific to the Job Description and show your attention to detail.

List qualifications that are relevant to the role. For example, if you are applying for a job as a Support Worker in Mental Health, the recruiter will be interested in your Level 2 Course in Awareness of Mental Health Problems.

We have an outstanding team of recruitment consultants in Bristol on-hand to ensure that every candidate gets the best possible advice on applying for social housing jobs.
