Emily Savage

Managing Consultant

I lead the Supported Housing temporary and permanent desk across South Wales. This is my ninth year at BRC, and I still feel the same excitement when placing a candidate into their dream role as I did when I started. I’m particularly driven by building genuine, long-term relationships with both clients and candidates. I pride myself on being approachable, honest, and supportive. What makes BRC so special is the team — everyone’s passion, support, drive, and ambition is incredible, and I’m extremely proud to be part of it.

Karolina Borycka

Managing Consultant

I have been with BRC for almost eight years and currently manage the Relief Desk within the Supported Housing Team across South Wales. I thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and bring a calm, solutions-focused approach to my role. My favourite part of the job is visiting clients and projects supported by BRC, where I can see first-hand the impact of our work.

Mark Grove

Business Manager

I have been recruiting in the social housing sector since 1994 and have recruited at all levels, from administration to Chief Executive, across housing management, housing options, and business support roles. I currently manage housing management, sheltered housing, housing options, and business support recruitment in the South West of England. I am just entering my 25th year at BRC — which has become my home away from home!

Phoebe Orchard

Managing Consultant

I’ve worked in recruitment for nearly a decade after planning to “give it six months” post-university—and quickly fell in love with the career it offers. I specialise in supported housing roles across the South West, building strong, long-term relationships with clients and candidates alike. For the last five years I have been with BRC — a business that’s been central to my growth and success. I’m passionate about working with third-sector organisations and charities that are making a real difference.

Sam Studley

Executive Consultant

With over 13 years’ recruitment experience in Property & Construction, I work within the Asset & Property Team, providing solutions to Housing and Estates Teams throughout England. Specialising in Maintenance and Development, I partner with Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Contractors, Consultancies, and Charities, leveraging a large candidate pool built over BRC’s 25+ years in the sector.

Emma Kier

Principal Consultant

I joined BRC in 2019 and have specialised in social housing ever since. Prior to joining BRC, I worked in recruitment in Australia for two years. I love recruiting for social housing because the passion for the sector shines through in every client and candidate interaction, making it a rewarding job. I recruit for all levels in South Wales within Property Services, Development, and Housing Management, including Executive roles.

Nathan Jackson

Recruitment Consultant

I specialise in temporary and permanent recruitment for Supported Housing and Housing Management roles across Bristol and the B&NES area. With three years’ recruitment experience and four years’ hands-on experience in Supported Housing, I bring a practical understanding of the sector. I provide a friendly, professional, and consultative service, committed to building long-term relationships and delivering high-quality recruitment solutions that make a real difference.

Meg Smith

Recruitment Consultant

I specialise in providing temporary and permanent staff to Housing Associations and Local Authorities across Bristol, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, and Worcestershire. I work across the Property Services and Housing Management desks. I genuinely value working at BRC — it’s a company that supports its staff, clients, and candidates, and every day is different and fun!

Jake Fairchild

Recruitment Consultant

I run our South West relief desk, following three busy years supporting and growing the relief team across South Wales. I deliver high-quality service and successful outcomes to candidates and organisations across the social housing sector. I pride myself on being approachable, sharing sector knowledge, and building long-term professional relationships.

Cali Webb

Recruitment Consultant

I specialise in recruiting Supported Housing roles across the South East of England, as well as Devon, Cornwall, and Dorset. With a year of experience, I have successfully recruited both temporary and permanent staff for leading charities and organisations. I take a consultative approach to recruitment, building strong relationships with clients and candidates, and pride myself on placing the right candidates in roles where they can thrive.

Jess Cliff

Senior Administrator

I am now in my sixth year at BRC, working within the operations and compliance team, where I play a key role in keeping the business running smoothly. My responsibilities include managing compliance, overseeing general office operations, and supporting payroll — helping to ensure everything functions efficiently behind the scenes. I take great pride in being organised, dependable, and approachable, and I enjoy supporting colleagues across the business whenever needed. No two days are ever the same, and I thrive on making sure that processes are in place, deadlines are met, and everyone has what they need to do their job well.  What I enjoy most about working at BRC is the strong team spirit. We genuinely support one another and share a common goal of helping both our colleagues and candidates succeed. Being part of such a positive and motivated team makes my role extremely rewarding, and I’m proud to contribute to the continued success of the company.

Simon Copp

Operations Director

As Operations Director, my focus is on ensuring that our infrastructure and environment enable all staff to deliver consistent and exceptional service. Having been at BRC for over 25 years, I have a deep understanding of our business, sector, and team. I am passionate about fostering successful long-term relationships and supporting the team to work efficiently, effectively, and ethically.

Sophie Butterell

With over 28 years’ experience in recruitment across multiple sectors, including social housing, I bring independent challenge, governance, and strategic oversight to support sustainable growth. My role focuses on improving employee engagement, performance, and retention, driving an exceptional culture through coaching and development, and supporting leadership capability across the organisation.

Why BRC?

BRC is a long-established and much respected specialist in the
UK’s social housing and care sector, placing talented individuals
with registered social landlords, local authorities and charitable
organisations alike.

We’re specialists

No one knows more about recruitment in the Social and Supported Housing sector than us. We have a strong track record in this sector stretching back more than 20 years.

This experience, combined with our regional focus means that we provide our clients with unrivalled insight into the talent pool local to them through our vast network of contacts.

Our service is comprehensive

Specialist we may be, but within those sectors we cover all your recruitment needs – all levels of management, operational and support roles.

Our clients and candidates speak highly of us and we are the ‘first port of call’ for many of them. We would be happy to put you in touch with some of them so you can hear first-hand what they think.

We’re flexible and agile

As independent consultants we are able to structure and price our services much more competitively than more generalist, volume-focused recruitment agencies.

Integrity is in our culture

We take a very honest and transparent approach.

We don’t pretend to be all things to all people – there’s simply no way to maintain the high standards of service and results we set ourselves by following that route.
