We had a fantastic evening at the Women in Housing Awards which were held on the 3rd of November at the prestigious Hilton Hotel, Manchester Deansgate.
The event is now in its 4th year and is widely recognised as one of the most important events in the social housing calendar.
The awards recognise and celebrate the talent and achievements of female professionals from across the UK housing sector. There are hundreds of nominations and winners are determined by an independent panel of 15 Judges.
This year’s ceremony was hosted by Liz Green, award winning radio presenter at BBC Leeds. After dinner, the winners were presented with their awards by guest speaker and famous TV chef, Lorraine Pascale who also gave an inspiration speech about her career.
During the evening, money was raised for Girls Out Loud, a charity which aims to empower and inspire teenage girls to have confidence and self-belief, emotional resilience, and positive self-image: http://girlsoutloud.org.uk/
BRC was proud to sponsor the Exemplary Housing Professional Award which was won by Oona Goldworthy of United Communities.
Huge congratulations to Oona and all of the award winners.
