Support Worker: Mental Health

     LOCATION:               Bournemouth

HOURS:                     20 hours a week Mon-Fri

SALARY:                   £10.90

DURATION:               Perm

Do you have experience working with complex mental health needs? Would you like to make a difference developing service users skills, knowledge and understanding around their mental health strategic intervention tools to manage complex mental health or moments of crisis. Do you thrive in a team working on a shared caseload, providing 1:1 support where necessary?


If yes, BRC have an exciting opportunity for you to gain valuable experience with complex mental health needs.


Key Responsibilities & Duties


  • Manage a caseload of customers and provide support with any needs that may arise.
  • Provide support within groups or 1:1.
  • Collaboratively write risk and needs assessments that reflect service user needs.
  • Maintain and build upon pre-existing relationships with external support services, making referrals where appropriate.
  • Encourage positive choices to improve health and wellbeing i.e. food
  • Provide support, advice, and guidance on tenancy issues, welfare benefits, educational, and employability prospects.
  • Assist with daily domestic duties such as cooking, and cleaning.
  • Carry out building compliance checks such as health and safety, water, and fire.
