SUBSTANCE MISUSE WORKER
IMMEDIATELY REQUIRED TO WORK IN CARDIFF

Location:   Cardiff.

Hours:        Full time.

Duration:   Temporary (potential for permanent).

Start:  November 2023.

Have you got experience assisting individuals suffering from substance misuse? Are you passionate about helping others to achieve recovery and create a fresh start for themselves? If so BRC are recruiting for a Substance Use Worker to join a fantastic team in Cardiff. 

This charity provides support to vulnerable individuals looking to find a life free from drug and alcohol addiction and rediscover their independence. and making the transition to living independently. The focus of this position is to ensure that these individuals are given the tools needed to be able to move manage their own recovery and find new coping mechanisms. This is a people focused role wherein building connections with clients will be key.

Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

• Delivering practical and compassionate support.
• Building confidence and a positive attitude.
• Working with a caseload.
• Providing coping strategies.
• Working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Offering clinical support and individual supervision (training provided).
• Working with complex and challenging individuals.

To be successful in this position you will need to have previous experience working with individuals who have struggled with substance misuse. You will be a collaborative individual able to work as part of a wider team. You will also be confident in managing your own workload and multitasking. We are looking for a flexible and cooperative individual who will be able to build and maintain strong relationships.
