Supported Worker: Homelessness

LOCATION:               Exeter

HOURS:                     37.5 Mon-Fri

SALARY:                   £11.52 – £13.20 PAYE – £14.12 Umbrella

DURATION:               2 months+

START DATE:           ASAP

Key Responsibilities & Duties

 

  • Manage a small caseload of low level homelessness across 2 properties.
  • Work in partnership with the local authority to manage referrals into the service.
  • Support service users with their finances, supporting with budgeting, welfare claims, and utilities.
  • Manage the waiting list for accommodation and establish priority applicants for accommodation.
  • Work across a multi-disciplinary framework, liaising with teams such as local authorities, job centre, GP’s.
  • Support to liaise with the local authority to complete housing applications.
  • Carry out building compliance checks such as health and safety, water, and fire.
