Hourly Rate:   £19.50 – £22.00 PAYE

 

BRC are working with a Reputable Housing Association in Somerset to recruit an interim Housing Development Officer to join a team to identify and progress new build housing development project proposals

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  1. Identify opportunities which will bring forward new affordable housing projects to assist with the new build affordable housing growth plans
  2. Project manage a portfolio of new build residential projects from conception through to various approval processes initially
  3. Develop a pipeline of development projects which will include the remodelling, re-purposing and/or regeneration of homes and other assets
  4. Involved in project delivery through subsequent design stages, construction period and post completion evaluation to ensure the development objectives are achieved
  5. Identify opportunities for grants and other funding and take an active role in the preparation of funding applications and claims
  6. Manage and administer buy-back opportunities
  7. Review current option appraisal arrangements and undertake option appraisals as required
  8. Instruct and liaise with architects, contractors, consultants and funders on a day-to-day operational basis
  9. Act as a point of contact for the Development team for general communications with current and future stakeholders
  10. Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of current and future development strategies and policies

 

Job Requirements

  • Driver with access to own vehicle
  • HNC/HND or similar qualification within the build environment
