Is so, BRC are working in partnership with a national homeless charity to recruit for an enthusiastic homeless prevention worker to start in their established team.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality programme of support which promotes client’s choice and control. They will support homeless individuals referred who have an unclear local connection to Birmingham and need housing support. This may involve reconnecting clients to their family or friends, source for private rented accommodation, reconnect clients to their previous accommodation, and ensuring service users have a safe and viable next accommodation.

 

To be successful in this position, you will need to be proactive and persistent in your approach to preventing homelessness. You will have a good understanding of housing options (private & social housing), and the housing application process. You will also need the confidence to manage your own workload and have the ability to work using your own initiative to tackle crisis situations.
