Early Intervention and Prevention Worker

LOCATION:           Pontypridd

HOURS:                 Full time

DURATION:           Temporary (Opportunity for permanent)

HOURLY RATE:    £13.30 (Inclusive of holiday)

This role involves delivering crisis intervention and homeless prevention activities in line with Supporting People funding requirements. You will be supporting service users to achieve greater independence, maintain dignity and respect, to stay in their home for longer and preventing them to become homeless.

 

To be successful in this position you will need to manage your own caseload, by carrying out in depth assessments and developing focused support plans. Organisation is key for this position as you will be managing a high turnover of clients with complex lifestyles. Furthermore, you will require a full driving license with good knowledge or experience around benefits and Universal Credit.

 

You will need an ability to deal with conflict and challenging behavior, good ability to think on your feet and a vast experience of carrying risk assessments and developing support plans.

 

Throughout this position you will be working alongside the passionate team managers where you will gain huge amounts of knowledge in the field which will be transferable skills. You are working for one of the biggest Housing Associations in South Wales which has very flexible hours and a fantastic hourly rate of pay.
