My client, based in Hampshire, are currently recruiting for a Building Safety Inspector on a temp to perm basis.
This role involves carrying out inspections of housing stock to ensure all fire safety standards are met and complied with; undertaking fire risk assessments and ensure that actions are complied with, engaging with residents in the safe management of their building and to undertake block inspections, weekly alarm tests and weekly emergency lighting flick tests.
To be successful within this role you will be a FDIS Certificated Inspector; have excellent knowledge of HHSRS; excellent understanding of fire prevention and compartmentalisation in construction and retrofit and working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and principles.
Third party qualified risk assessor and to be familiar in using PAS:79:2012 format of fire risk assessment is desirable.
