Are you a driven support professional who can make a positive impact on the lives of homeless people in Cheltenham suffering from mental health and substance misuse issues?

If so, a leading homeless charity is seeking a permanent Support Worker to enter their close knit team.

You will be required to work as part of a team who manage residential flats for young homeless people who have long term substance misuse and mental health issues.

As a Support Worker, you will work one-to-one with residents to address their health issues and develop suitable coping strategies. Furthermore, you will empower the residents to develop the independent living skills required to sustain their tenancy and to prepare them for move-on.

You will be on hand to provide emotional support and practical advice on life skills, housing & non-housing matters, education & employment opportunities, finances, arrears, health and benefit entitlement.

The ideal candidate will have experience of providing support to clients who are in crisis, homeless or suffering from mental health or substance misuse issues.
