YOUTH SUPPORT WORKER
DURATION: 5 Weeks
HOURS: Full time - 37hr
START DATE: ASAP
Are you an experienced Support Worker with a real commitment to supporting young people? If so, BRC would love to speak to you immediately!
As a Youth Support Worker, you will establish and maintain productive working relationships with young people (aged 16 – 25). You will be working with individuals who have been referred from Social Services to successfully enable them to make a successful transition to independent living. There is a variety of support needs including, care leavers, mental health, family breakdowns, sex exploitation and substance misuse.
The main objective is to support the young adults in their transition from adolescence to adulthood; by developing and encouraging their confidence and self-esteem to promote inclusion and aid progression within communities.
To be successful in this role, we require an enthusiastic, determined and patient individual, who can inspire and support vulnerable young people to exceed their expectations. Ideally, you will have experience with young people (aged 16-25) and an up to date DBS check.
