Description

Would you like to make a difference to a young person’s life? Do you feel passionate about positively contributing to changing the pathway a young person leaving care may follow?

If so, a charitable organisation committed to offering a range of services, including advice, support and information for young people (16-25 years), is seeking a  Support Worker to work one to one with a small caseload of young adults with complex and challenging support needs.

As a support worker, you will focus on developing strong, trusting relationships with young people focusing on the development of independent living skills, tenancy management, accessing training and employment opportunities, promoting participation within the service and community engagement.

You will also link clients in with a variety of services, accompany them to appointments and acting as an advocate for the young people in order to negotiate solutions that meet their specific needs.

Additionally, this position offers job security and it has a very high chance of leading to a permanent position. Furthermore, you will have plenty of time for your own personal commitments, as this position also involves a range of shifts including morning and evening shifts.
