Held on Thursday 13th November at the Hilton Hotel, Deansgate-Manchester, the WIH Awards aimed to celebrate the achievements of women working in the Social Housing Sector. Representing BRC were Dan Evans, Emma Litchfield, Natasha Moore and Drew Main. The event, hosted by Olympian Diane Modahl with special guest speaker-Lulu, was attended by over 450 people. As well as helping to present the awards, Lulu also spoke about both her singing career and the skin care business she now runs.
As well as supporting the awards, BRC also donated a wine tasting session for the Charity Raffle collection which was in aid of ‘A Mile in Her Shoes’-a volunteer-led charity that helps women find their feet through running. The charity encourages women who may have been affected by issues related to homelessness to experience running as a way of exercising, socialising, boosting confidence and raising self-esteem.
Congratulations to Penni Pennington and the ConnectIn team for organising a fantastic evening enjoyed by all, it certainly achieved its aim of celebrating the achievements of women working in the Social Housing Sector.
