BRC recently exhibited at the CIH South West Conference. Business Manager, Mark Grove gives his account of the event:
The CIH South West Conference in Torquay was once again a resounding success for BRC, although in a different location for 2015. The conference centre was a good choice and I’m sure will be well attended in the coming years.
After setting up the stand on the Wednesday and meeting with several of our clients in the afternoon at our stand, we decanted to Soho’s Cocktail bar for our drinks event in association with WISH. It was great to see so many people there from Housing Associations, contractors and legal firms and a good time was had by all.
Thursday was our busiest day with more delegates attending on this day than the others. Speaking to the delegates, there were good keynote speeches covering the hot topics of the day such as “Right to Buy”, which they got a great deal from. We were very busy speaking to people who came up to the stand, thank you for all who came and entered our prize draw – winner to be announced next week. I think this was my 8th South-West Conference, and it was definitely one of the best for us, giving us the opportunity to catch up with people we have been working with over the years, and also forge new partnerships with clients for the future.
On the Thursday Evening we attended the Gala Dinner, admittedly with a little trepidation as it was to be held at the conference centre and the lunch hadn’t been terribly well received, however, the evening meal was excellent as was the company on the BRC table. A very well organised evening including a photo booth and disco after the meal.
The Friday was a more subdued affair as the delegates had a strong programme of speeches and seminars to attend, however we still managed to arrange some meetings with clients for later in the month.
