NIGHT HOSTEL WORKER

Location:        Central Cardiff (Free Parking Available)

Hours:            37.5 Hours Per Week

A leading national homeless organisation is recruiting for two permanent Night Hostel Workers to work on a rotating shift basis at their homeless hostel in Central Cardiff. This is a great opportunity to join an esteemed organisation that is proactive about assisting those in housing need.

As the successful post holder you will be required to manage front of house services overnight, while also ensuring the security of the property. On the front line you will also provide out of hours advice and support to homeless clients, ensuring that each individual has access to any practical and emotional support they may need.

Working as part of a supportive, close-knit team, you will be instrumental to the hostel’s continued success and development. This is an opportunity to work using your own initiative and showcase your abilities to manage challenging situations, in what will be a truly rewarding role.
You will benefit from regular in-house and external training, in order to encourage your personal development. This is an organisation that provides scope for further progression in a variety of different front line support services, therefore offering a great opportunity to advance your career in support and homelessness.

As well as benefitting from the development and training opportunities, you will also receive access to a pension scheme and childcare vouchers. Travel to work will be simple and convenient, as the hostel has great links to public transport due to its central location, while also offering the option of free parking.
