Richard Thomas, Sam Cooper-Woolley, and Emily Savage from our Cardiff office have signed up to complete Sleep Out 2017 in association with homelessness charity Llamau.

The event will take place on Thursday the 2nd of November at Cardiff City Football stadium and participants will be required to build their own shelter and sleep outside in the cold of November.

Team BRC are aiming to raise a minimum of £750 in sponsorship. The money raised from this event is vital to maintaining frontline services supporting young homeless people in Wales and giving them the practical skills they need for a brighter future.

Llamau runs ‘Sleep Out’ in Cardiff in the same month as other Sleep Out events taking place in cities around the UK run by various charities who work with some of the most vulnerable young people in our society.

This is the 2nd time BRC Business Manager Richard has participated in Sleep Out:

“Sleeping rough for an evening was quite a challenging experience. It was very cold, and quite uncomfortable at times, but really made me think about what it must be like to be homeless. I obviously had the privilege of going home to a hot shower and my own bed the following day unlike so many homeless people across Wales.”
